About
Locklear has worked in 911±¬ÁÏÍøP's Office of Online Learning since 2004 and served his Alma Mater in various capacities. He was 911±¬ÁÏÍøP's Staff Council Chair (2012-2014) and served on the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Staff Assembly's Executive Committee (2013-2016). Locklear has also served on various university committees.
Locklear earned an undergraduate degree in American Indian Studies (AIS) from 911±¬ÁÏÍø Pembroke ('03) and a Master's Degree from East Carolina in Instructional Design ('06). During his undergraduate studies, Locklear developed a passion for Native peoples. While in his Master's program, Locklear learned how to combine his research interests. Thus, in addition to his role as an Instructional Designer, he researches how Universities can better serve Native students through Online Education.
