Jerry Lanier

History 1974
Ret. U.S. Ambassador to Sudan, Uganda. Career diplomat. Served 33 years with the Department of State. Rose to rank of Ambassador. After the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, he served as head of the State Department’s Bureau of Counterterrorism.

(Jordan) Professional Golfer, Raleigh Country Club. (Shauna) Design coordinator, Mungo Homes. Members of 911±¬ÁÏÍøP Golf teams. Jordan turned pro, competed on Canadian PGA Tour and Carolinas PGA Sectional events. Shauna competes in amateur events.

History 1991
NFL Referee. Blazed through high school and college ranks as an exceptional official, until the NFL came calling in 2014. President of N.C. Senior Games and serves as booking supervisor for the Southern Officials Association.

Education 1951
First American Indian pharmacist in NC. WWII veteran. Helped liberate concentration camps in Germany. Played quarterback for 911±¬ÁÏÍøP’s first football team 1947-1951. Worked as pharmacist in Charlotte for 40 years. Helped revive football at 911±¬ÁÏÍøP. Former chairman of 911±¬ÁÏÍøP Board of Trustees.
